If you worked for 18F and got fired, Group together to start a consulting company.

It’s just a matter of time before DOGE needs you to fix the mess they inevitably create.

They will have to hire your company as a contractor to fix it. But on your terms.

I’m happy to invest and/or help

Good morning and Happy Tuesday to everyone who agrees that if Elon Musk really wanted to cut waste, he'd start with subsidies to Big Oil, loopholes to hedge funds, and all the waste from the Pentagon.

Stop squeezing the little people, FFS.

Rather than violate their oath or comply with Musk’s illegal requests, 21 civil service employees resigned today from Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (formerly the United States Digital Service), stating they would not use their technical expertise to dismantle critical public services.

do you enjoy knowing that when you deposit money in a US bank, you won't lose that money? nice, right?

it's because bank deposits are insured by FDIC.

i don't know what FDIC ever did to these people, but apparently it too is now on their blow-it-up list:

Banking regulator rescinds more than 200 job offers for examiners it needs
A government-wide hiring freeze is adding to a staffing shortage at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., complicating the agency’s efforts to oversee thousands of banks across the country.

It shouldn’t be ignored that Kash Patel chose to plead the Fifth in response to a grand jury subpoena over the Mar-a-Lago classified documents.

He only testified, involuntarily, after being granted immunity.

Think about that. Trump’s FBI nominee pled the Fifth in response to a DOJ subpoena.

I hope these knuckle dragging right wing bigots get exactly what they voted for…God help the rest of us.
Elon Musk wants to 'delete' a federal agency designed to prevent another financial crisis and protect people from scams
Republicans and the banking industry have accused the CFPB of regulatory overreach because it doesn't follow the usual congressional budget process.

LOL
Musk is now beefing in dramatic ways with top Trump capo Boris Epshteyn.

This situation can't continue.

We're just two weeks into Trump being president-elect and his co-president and top advisor are blowing up at each other at dinner. Hard to imagine this lasting four months, let alone four years.
Musk, top Trump adviser have "massive blow up" over Cabinet picks
The tension signals a rivalry stemming from Musk's growing influence on Trump, to the dismay of some of the president-elect's loyalists.

I will never understand how a billionaire, the richest man on Earth, spent millions to buy an election for ANOTHER billionaire, and told us that his policies would cause all of us non-billionaires “temporary hardship...”

...and the public didn't tell BOTH OF THEM to fuck off.

Book Recommendation for the Day: It's about two ordinary English sisters who helped save many German and Polish Jews at the beginning of WW2 the best way they knew how....through their love of opera. A great example to us all to never give in to fascism and fight it any way we can.
