Gods & ghosts, what a high bar @porkbellypress.bsky.social sets for micropresses! Just 👀 this hyperpersonalized package presentation! They had me at hand-stitched, but these books (@robertokaji.bsky.social’s “Texas Flood” & Tina Mozelle Braziel’s “Rooted by Thirst”) are literal enchantment.

I also have to say it’s fabulous to be able to look up at that map as I’m working on book 2 and see that the train ride is a lot rougher from Prismatine to Gypsum than from Gypsum to Sphene! 🥰

A beautiful review of ‘the Beast’ has made it to World Literature Today and I’m just speechless. This is a journal you pretty much need an institutional subscription to and my prime objective is to get the book into as many #LIBRARIES as I can, so I fervently hope it catches the right readers!

A belated intro post! I write poetry and dark romantic fantasy informed by nature, magic, science, music, queerness, and life with chronic illness (MS, depression). I’m also a visual artist; my familiar is a frequent muse. 🐈‍⬛ Some sample pages from my novel & poetry debuts:

Trying not to let my mind run on the prospect of Elon Musk having access to my SSDI (the likeliest part of Social Security he’d get away with cutting) by focusing on the new growth on my plants and the fact that Claudio can coexist with them peaceably. #caturday

Thanks to a workshop on Mary Oliver’s poetry and philosophy this week I feel empowered by her to decline any invitation with the excuse that “I am deep in the machinery of my wits.”

Speaking of cats… Claudio, aka Perfidy, has decided this is the only sensible way to spend a frigid Wisconsin afternoon.
