I gathered up some pictures from our regular gaming group and made a little video with them. I've been playing since 1986, but the current weekly group has been playing together since 1993. Not everyone who's played is in the pictures. Just a snippet. This is from 1996 to 2025.

I know about The Shadow and Doc Savage, but beyond DC & Marvel comics I read in the 80s, and somewhat recall, these are two pulp characters I am not as familiar with as I'd like. What would you recommend I read to correct that? What would be the best Shadow and Doc Savage content I should consume?

Tuesday our weekly gaming group played a special session, the six regular players in the group plus Sara who hadn't played with us since 2016, and Emilio who was there in 1986 for my very first sessions of D&D, and last played with me in 1996.

I'm a big fan of the Thundercats, but I'm not thrilled it's a D&D 5e game. Also the cost for the PDF is steep, and they hadn't answered if the physical copy came with a PDF last time I checked.

I did hate that XXVc had no consistency in how characters and beings were described. For example, Terrines and Black Barney were described differently in the game, the novels and looked different in the awful comic modules. In Arrival Barney was described as a red eyed cyborg. See the attached pics.

I am a fan of both games, Buck Rogers XXVc and Gamma World 4ta, and I cas see how they are a glimpse on AD&D 2e evolving into another game mechanically, mayhaps D&D 3e. Good read!
