I emailed my congressman about a specific policy issue, PFAS remediation funding by the DoD & got back a form letter about how he's a outdoorsman, not answering my question at all.
Jeff Crank is lucky I'm not charismatic enough to be a politician, otherwise I'd run against him in 2026 out of spite.

This post heavily influenced by the fact I have to drive five hours for work this evening, and if this country was sane it could just be a train ride.
I spent the last two weeks in Japan on vacation and now that I'm back home I keep noticing how much of my city is just parking lots.

My first house was built in the 1960s, we were the second owners, and the previous owners did a lot of weird diy that was technically up to code in 1960. All the kitchen appliances weren't plugged in, they were wired into the house's electric system.

Tonight I was driving home in a snowstorm and nearly cheered when I saw the plows on the road. Love to whoever's driving a snowplow this late at night, thanks for keeping the roads safe
