Absolutely!
SPOTTED: Mobile billboards driving around D.C. demanding federal agents take their masks off — because public servants should face the public.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

In March, 48 people were arrested in New Mexico, according to an ICE press release. Why is nothing known about who was arrested or their whereabouts?
The Mystery of ICE’s Unidentifiable Arrests
In early March, the agency announced that it had arrested forty-eight people in New Mexico—a month later, their identities and whereabouts remain unknown.

Dragged my butt down to the Y this morning to try and get back on track with strength training. I'm remembering my realization 25 years ago that I was starting to have to work hard in order to feel good.

Just called my representatives (Ellen Clark Pogemiller & Mark Mann) about my distress over HB 1515, which just passed out of committee in the House. We are a state that already has the lowest voter turnout in the country (yes, 53% in last November's elections). Please at least call your House rep.

Scoop: Trump, after promising not to abandon disaster victims, cut all $103 million set aside for legal assistance for flood and hurricane victims, leaving them at the mercy of scam artists and insurance companies (I repeat myself)

Reprehensible, in so many ways!
Chancellor Olaf Scholz of Germany on Saturday accused Vice President JD Vance of unacceptably interfering in his country’s coming elections on behalf of a party that has played down the atrocities committed by the Nazis.

Reading Rebecca Nagle's excellent book "By the Fire We Carry." Some of the history is chillingly relevant. Hopefully Courts will continue to check lawlessness by the Executive.

I'm realizing that beginning in November, I prepared myself to make it through four years, protect some of our vulnerable neighbors & then restrengthen our public systems. I didn't prepare myself to lose our democracy & be left with permanently broken systems. (Don't worry. Still fighting!)

THIS IS THE LINE. I've called my reps re Elon Musk. Have you?

Robert Reich: "Friends, this does seem like a coup."

Heather Cox Richardson: "The replacement of our constitutional system of government with the whims of an unelected private citizen is a coup."

Sure, let's give the keys to the U.S. Treasury and access to each American's most personal data to an extremist, unelected billionaire with no accountability. What could go wrong?

Just listened to Rachel Maddow talk smartly and clearly a few days into Trump 2.0. Even she talked about self-care: hydrate, get outside, compartmentalize your work (news vs. family/friends vs. your work, etc.), save your outrage for strategic use, etc. etc.
