As of today, in addition to Washington DC deploying their national guard, three more states are sending their national guard… South Carolina, West Virginia, and Ohio.

This is ludicrous considering crime is down in the city and no emergency exists.

ChatGPT5… what then is Trump’s ultimate goal?

West Virginia, South Carolina, and Ohio are sending National Guard troops to D.C. to support an already completely unnecessary occupation of an American city.

The Republican Party is occupied by a fascist regime hellbent on using every method at its disposal to destroy democracy.

America, wake up.

When you're tired...rest. But while you're resting? Plan.
Line up your next move.
Because quitting is how they win.
Action is how you win. How WE win.
Every damn day is an election...so treat it like one.
Wake up. Show up. Move the needle.
No excuses. No surrender. Together...we have power.

Much as I would not dare to predict the consequences of this war, I do think we can summarize it thusly so far:

A smart and evil man manipulated a stupid and evil man into a war against a fanatical and evil regime.

With the R’s holding all 3 seats of power, what can we do to effectively resist this coup? One idea is to slow the flow of our money to the Treasury by changing our FICA withholding and increasing the number exemptions. If enough of us did so, our resistance message will be heard loud and clear.

Democrats should make clear that they will remain absolutely unified: not a single vote to appropriate funds until Congress’s power of the purse is restored and protected and Musk is removed from any govt role or special access.

If the appropriations power isn’t respected, no appropriations.

Hey Frank, think senators should ask trump’s nominees to affirm their oath to the constitution during their confirmation hearing.
If senators confirm a nominee without benefit of knowing the risk they pose, then they set a precedent for never again exercising their constitutional powers.

Mandate? Trump is now under 50% in the popular vote with his margin ranking 44th out of 51 elections since 1824.

4 Democrats won Senate seats in states Trump carried—compared to zero in 16 and 20.

GOP poised for its smallest House majority since the U.S. had 50 states.

I see lots of questions and anxiety over how we fight back against seemingly stacked odds.

I expect in the coming weeks many here will share their perspectives on how we move forward.

As you process and get to a place of action, here are some things to consider, in terms of mindset
