It's mostly me. I went in blind with my first Tav, paired them with Wyll, but broke up with him so they could be with (and save) Karlach. Which left her free to join Emp. With Lug, he went from afterthought to a whole spelljammer space opera he pulls Emp into...and Emp frees him from.
