Test piece for bedpost. Quadrilinear post construction with basic miter. I skipped the big-a$$ lock miter router bit and will probably do the same for real. Taper done with hand plane much like a stick chair leg. #woodworking

I’ve decided not to add up the material costs for this shop-made air filtration system. It’s replacing a more professional one that I’ve owned for 15 or so years. It’s done and now back to building some furniture. #woodworking

This is the point where I’ll stop and take it to the planer along with similar boards so I can do it in batch. Note there is still cup in the middle. OK in this case: twist is now gone and this 8/4 board won’t let the planer squish the cup out.

Re-sawn ash. Ripping each side with table saw first and then finishing the middle part with the bandsaw was the way to go here.
