worth pointing out that game devs at xbox are some of the very few people at microsoft engaged in work that people actually want. no one wants copilot. no one wants to rely on windows anymore. no one wants teams and no one wants drone targeting AI. but i do want pentiment

A few weeks in, and damn, godot really is great. Hit by a ‘damn, why doesn’t BrandXEngine do this obviously cleaner workflow’ observation every day or so.

Feels like a generational leap, and I guess that’s why so many people in the next generation of devs are using it. I’m onboard.

fun fact this guy's xorg patches were so fucking broken that NVIDIA of all people, yes, the company that loves having broken linux drivers, had to step in and say "yeah no this fucking sucks"
eventually he got banned from freedesktop and now thinks "big tech" is out to get him

it appears i've gotten it working. the moral of the story: don't use flatpaks if you want working software, kids
can someone please make screen sharing on wayland (at least on kde) fucking work? i don't give a damn about the "security" (don't run untrusted code in the first place) the desktop portal has the memory of a gold fish and whatever it sends to apps must be foreign because it doesn't fucking work

tariffs partially rolled back and people are posting their chudjak "nothing ever happens" images while i'm seeing small businesses publish stuff along the lines of "we might have to increase prices because of tariffs" yep mhm sure is a lot of nothing

hate that the solution to macos's poor font and icon rendering on lodpi displays is just "oh our devices only use hidpi displays 😃"

working with milo is like having negative debugging. you make a change and either get that all too familiar gray box in the emulator window, fucking nothing, or the game just spits notes out on the screen

I successfully RGH'd my Xbox 360 using BadUpdate as a nand flasher.
This is an incredible accomplishment, RGH3 is now a 2 wire solder job.
The points are still not easy to solder to, but I did it with cheap equipment and it still works.
