@thekentacorn.bsky.social Saw this on fb and thought of you. Isn't it lovely? Would rather see an oak living but.

New pal asked me to explain when I was clear the invitation was for supper not dinner - she's from Norwich, I live in Surrey (but born abroad)...

A break in the weather. Hallelujah! Thank God for Oaks.

Have you read the poem Cats by ASJ Tessimond? I think Martha must have done so and is using it as an instruction manual...

I’m Absolutely Loving the @susiedent.com #TwoWords game - it’s brilliant. But mid-game I get an ad like this. No ability to opt out of this graphic violence unless I pay £4 a month. Urgh. Easier to delete the game.

Some gifts give so much pleasure ...this from the talented Deborah Richardson-Webb of the superb b&b at The Lint Mill (thelintmill.co.uk) - she sent it to me when I commented on how beautiful it is. It hangs outside my bathroom & I am prompted to think of Debs every morning. #ThePerfectGift

I love your posts. They make me smile. In part because of the lovely images but also because they remind me of my sister Jan (RIP 2023) who was a key campaigner in "Elders for Old Growth" in Canada where the paper companies cut down ancient forests. Here she is - a lover of trees, like me.

Yesterday my #community gathered and stored over a hundred crates and boxes of food and gifts for our local food banks in our 9th annual #ReverseAdvent. I am both proud of the community spirit and ashamed that food banks are even a necessary thing. 😳

Is this what you would call an escalation? #cat

Reconciling receipts. Never a favourite job. #Cat not helping.

Who Knew?: Turns out a spare tyre on a Mercedes should be inflated before you drive 6 miles to the tyre place. (Had been congratulating myself on a record time for a wheel change but suspect @mercedesamgf1team.bsky.social may be less interested in me than I thought)

ah but against the backdrop of Dry Old Keith the Daily Mail thinks that our sarnies are woke (Can't bring myself to link to the DailyFail so here's a screenshot)

At least you've got movement - his doppelganger has nothing but zzzz, and will likely not change all day.

One of the best recurring #crowdfunder campaigns is #Kitmas: distributing football shirts to kids who may not otherwise receive gifts. Altogether lovely - make a pledge? www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/kitmas-2024
