RS3 has way more story than RS2 but it also way more plot-holes in its current state, even with the remaster.
A remake is needed and fairly easy now that they have the assets and animations from RS2 remake.

RS3 has certain mechanics that just make the game easier.
For instance, LP fully heal after you rest.
You can flee combat even when ambushed without penalty (Battle rank increase when you flee in og RS2)
Enemies & bosses way easier in general
Less time sensitive quest.
