The middle post reminds me of something I read about DV victim survivors being viewed as initiating conflict as an outlet for their own domineering and castrating behavior.

The 10% figure is difficult to grasp. My EHR suggests that HCWs have a deep contempt for pts. With the exception of the HIV and vet(?) studies, I can relate SL from every study to my EHR. I don't have children, but birth studies eg Gross et al, 2025, are relevant due to their link to power/privilege

I’d also recommend educating doctors on the signs of abuse bc I’ve seen medical charts full of descriptions of isolation and emotional abuse under headings such as “more drama”.

People engage in the most unhinged behaviors when it comes to disability, and when they think records won’t be requested. Reading your posts makes me think of a psychotherapist (M.D.) who impersonated my treating physician to deny me accommodation so I’d be more compliant to his “treatment” plan.

This is infuriating. It’s also not surprising. It’s so often the worst people who end up in DEI & accommodation roles.

This was the period my management team started to engage in coercive control, tried to impress upon me I was isolated and alone and inserted into the conversation “doing something stupid”. My union shrugged and told me you need to be pure evil to get ahead.

I would say I met this therapist, but I think this response is not uncommon.
