Last week CIBE met with EU Agriculture and Food Commissioner @christophehansen.bsky.social with other agri representatives. We raised our concerns regarding the revision of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. Ensure a stable agricultural long-term trade relation with Ukraine is a priority 🇺🇦🇪🇺

The Mercosur agreement does
❌not ensure fair competition for EU farmers
❌not prioritise consumer protection
❌not include strong safeguards to protect the environment

🚩We stood with many MEPs & the Walloon Federat° of Agriculture to reaffirm our opposition to MERCOSUR's deal.
We call on MEPs to #StopMercosur:
- 🇪🇺 EU farmers, sustainable family farming model and sovereignty are at risk
- It offers no protection for the environment 🌳
- No security for consumers🚩
