Exciting new research on vimentin just dropped!
Excited to share our work @jcb.org !!! We believe this is a key piece in the #vimentin & #IntermediateFilament field, highlighting its dynamic nature. This opens the door for exploring crosstalk with other cytoskeletal components!
Renganathan, Moor, @vgelfand.bsky.social et al. use single-particle tracking to show that #vimentin intermediate filaments display active movement throughout the cell, with individual filaments within a bundle moving independently rupress.org/jcb/article/...

Excited to share our latest preprint on selecting the right dyes for image-based profiling! I learned so much from this project, and I’m incredibly grateful to @bethcimini.bsky.social for the opportunity and for teaching me so much along the way. Check out the thread to learn more!
Delighted to tell you about the newest preprint from our lab, from the amazing @sugansivaguru.bsky.social - ever wondered what dyes are the right dyes for image based profiling? Hop into a 🧵 to learn more about "Alternate dyes for image-based profiling assays" (1/x) www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
Alternate dyes for image-based profiling assays
Background Cell Painting, the leading image-based profiling assay, involves staining plated cells with six dyes that mark the different compartments in a cell. Such profiles can then be used to discov...
