Chair of Bremain in Spain, citizens' rights & anti-Brexit activist
Pro: Europe, rejoin, immigration, freedom of movement, SM & CU, PR, overseas constituencies, net zero
Anti: Brexit, fascism, austerity, FPTP, corruption, extremism, ignorance
I despair of Labour & the Home Office.
Is this meant to be a deterrent?
Even if it made a difference to incoming migration, has anyone given any thought whatsoever to the impact on legal foreign residents in the UK?
Or to the fact that it will give licence to the bigots to up the ante?
Shameful!

It's not 'illegal migration' that is tearing this country apart.
It's nasty, cruel, uncaring rhetoric, & policies like this that are doing all the damage.
Labour might just as well walk out of No. 10 & hands the keys over to Farage.
Reform must be rubbing their hands with glee.

73% of Europeans believe their countries have benefitted from EU membership. Even in Britain, 62% of the public believe Brexit has been more of a failure than a success.
WTF are our politicians waiting for? Divine inspiration?

The Green Party & @zackpolanski.bsky.social are on fire at the moment. More members, better comms & saying what others don't have the balls to say.

Are you ready for EES?

Looks like UK nationals resident in EU will be queueing up with tourists, despite being exempt from finger-printing & face recognition.

Funny, I seem to remember Starmer promising the use of Egates for everyone.

Reform now planning to "abolish indefinite leave to remain (ILR)" & to "rescind ILR statuses that have already been granted".
But they don't tell you how, of course, or the cost.

Reform - taking away human rights. Once they've taken theirs, they'll come after yours.

It was a pleasure to be there, to see so many EU flags & to talk to so many people that want to see us back in the EU.

They deserve each other!

Are the Tories down to single figures yet?
September 10, 2025 at 12:44 PM
So, Labour continuing down this ridiculous, damaging, ineffective road when they should be showing some compassion, singing the praises of (much-needed) immigration & calling out the far-right for their hateful policies.
September 2, 2025 at 9:28 AM
Brexiters complaining about the "absolute chaos" of the impact of Brexit, expecting special treatment from the EU, & pointing the finger elsewhere.
Same old dogs, same old tricks.

I seem to remember the issue of a European army being a Brexiter argument against the EU.
Well, with Trump, Russia & Ukraine, it would appear that public opinion has changed & a European army is not such a bad idea after all.
Perhaps it never was.
