What infuriates me so much about this new operation is that it is literally punishing people for following the rules and showing up to their court hearings. It is so toxic to the basic concept of following the rules.
It is an operation designed by people who hate the concept of the rule of law.

These people were following the law and went to check in with immigration like they are supposed to.
This woman's immigration case was dismissed, which made her immediately undocumented.
So ICE took her into custody.

Great interview tonight by Rachel Maddow of Hakeem Jeffries. She pushed him hard. Told him that policy arguments are ineffective against a coup by a ketamine fueled unelected billionaire. And a wannabe dictator president. I don’t doubt his sincerity but still don’t think Hakeem gets it.
