Yes I wondered about the flags... It was a follow-up question in a feedback form about hospice services but they probably bought in a standard set of questions

Yes I was made deaconess in 1984, but was in Cambridge for 7years before that. I was married at ChristChurch

HT had a deaconess in my day - the only one in the Diocese of Ely, and they couldn’t think they wanted another (they were my sponsoring diocese) It was a different world!

Christ Church was a church plant out of STAG. It is in the same parish as St Andrew-the-less, which used to be known as the Abbey Church in my day

Does your diocese have a lone working policy that covers issues like these? We used to run training sessions for lay pastoral visitors on staying safe

We were looking at an empty vicarage in a parish we were considering when wardens and we discovered an urgent need for a stopcock. Eventually found in the garden covered in rotting leaves

There is a grant in England but it’s before ordination, not before you start training. There are a few charities that help ordinands in financial hardship
