Have you ever been to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum?
If you were to see it and witness the horrors of the atomic bomb with your own eyes, no normal human being would ever use one. Since it could never be used, nuclear deterrence becomes meaningless.

"As I’ve grown older, I’ve thought, ‘Ah, so this is what Kazuhiko Kato’s state of mind must have been like in his later years,’ and I felt I could relate to him. But when I looked up his age at death, I realized I’ve already outlived him. Now what…?"

It's getting tough to keep posting in formal English. Maybe I’ll switch to easy-going Japanese instead. But I wonder if everyone from X is here too?

I see about 60-70 influenza A patients and 20 COVID-19 patients in a day, but none of our outpatient team—nurses, administrative staff, or myself—have been infected. Want to know how we stay safe?

H5N1 human-to-human transmission hasn't been confirmed yet—good news for now, but could it just be a matter of time?

"My grandchild came over, but they caught Influenza A, and then I ended up with a fever."
"Oh, then it's almost certain. Let's do a test just to be sure."
15 min later:
"Um, it wasn't influenza... it was COVID-19."
"What? How on earth did that happen? Could I pass this to my grandchild?"
"Yes..."

Experiencing this cluster in the ward, I realized the rapid spread of COVID-19 was unlike anything I had ever seen before. TMG genome analysis detected KP3, XEC, and other recombinants. Have these variants evolved to this extent?

Are the staff at your hospital vaccinated against COVID-19? At my hospital, many staff members remain unvaccinated despite my recommendations and their responsibility to care for COVID-19 patients. As a result, they have contracted COVID-19 from their patients. I find this incredibly irresponsible.

Japanese Media: Why are flu, mycoplasma, and Fifth Disease spreading?
Dr: COVID-19 measures reduced exposure, so immunity weakened.
Japanese Media: So, we should avoid excessive infection control!

Last Saturday, we had one COVID-19 positive patient. Today, Tuesday, all patients on that floor have tested positive. The infection spread incredibly fast. It's such a tragic Christmas Eve.

A COVID-19 cluster is occurring in the ward, while there is a line of influenza patients in the outpatient department.
