The best year yet for my peony. The colour is a bit deeper in real life; they open as very dark red and then fade to a deep pink.

First time at the Birmingam Museum and Art Gallery today. We were there to see the wonderful Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. But the building itself is fantastic 😍, here is a photo of the tearoom.
Large room with high ceiling and gallery. Glass panes in the roof let in light. Walls are decorated with large black and white images of Victorian and Edwardian women. There are tables, chairs and sofas for patrons.
