Thanks, Stephen, much appreciated. I just want calm, reasonable politics which I realise doesn’t suit the right wing press, or other foreign bad-actors. I’m impressed with how much Starmer’s government has achieved so far, even if there are areas I wish were pushed to the forefront.

YouGov has a poll out saying 82% think the media is untrustworthy. As you're a believer in polls don't you think this poll might be something you and your fellow journalists should reflect on and maybe read the replies to your post. They're mostly very critical of the media.

Dee, I joined Blue Sky today. I’m a retired school teacher who likes animals, pottery, Art, Literature and cake. I deleted my X account in protest and joined Threads (polite and constructive). I was urged to join here and yours is my first reply. Shame it is sarcastic.

Exactly, even though Freedman doesn’t get it. I want calm, professional politics without the constant drama. I want someone who can negotiate, and who has integrity. I’m impressed by how much Labour has achieved (though you’d never know it from the media) so far. Move on!

I’ve sent personal messages of support to both my MP and no 10, and I know I’m one of thousands. I’ve never, in my life, been a member of a political party but I joined last week to urge Starmer and the party to stand firm.

I - and many, many others have joined the Labour Party over the past week precisely to support Starmer - we don’t want change! It might suit Reform, it might suit some sensationalist journos, it might suit Trump and even Russia but it doesn’t suit us. Check your facts.
