Ballasting complete! I'm hoping that the two colors I used on the main lines dry to a more common color (I ran out of the darker stuff about halfway through), but if not, I'll weather it down later. #modeltrains

I've been hard at work on my model railroad club's traveling layout in prep for the Ventura County Fair, our signature event. The yard on the layout, which was previously barely functional, has been entirely redone, new track, switches, and switch machines. Hope I can ballast it before the show.

Ultimately, I look at organized religion and I see people far more concerned with the appearance of religion rather than the underlying message. I realize that this is not a unique revelation, but how is it that so many have strayed so far from Christ's core message.

Working on my club's traveling layout. The yard was in desperate need of updating. No yard lead and a three-way switch at the start of the "ladder." New yard will have one fewer tracks, but a true ladder and a working lead off the main. Also straightening out the inside main.
