As everyone knows, January is the “free trial” month so I’m just now finishing my Year Compass for 2024. *The Cranberries start playing in the background*

Baked off some sourdough this morning. The first one/one on the left is made with confit garlic, the other is just plain. These were within 5 grams in dough weight but you can really see the difference in oven spring in the last picture, likely due shaping and garlic slowing the rise.

In other news I’ve been knitting to try and avoid total despair over Israel-Palestine.
