How was everyone’s weekend? I managed to play a bit of Civ IV on my AMD windows XP build. I loved it, too bad I didn’t have a lot of time to lose myself in it. This build will feature in a video soon.

What’s up guys? I’m back from China. It was an amazing experience but it’s been a work in progress to get my regular routine back on track.

I’m pretty happy with how this windows XP build turned out. I am working on a video for it, but I’m going on a work trip to China tomorrow, so it’ll have to wait quite a bit for me to get back to it. The period appropriate mouse and keyboard really seal the deal for me. I love sitting here now.

So I finally have a build to use my pretty much new saitek eclipse 3 keyboard. Exciting!

The final setup turned out pretty well I think. I’ve been playing Jill of the Jungle after I took the shots I needed. But realized I could install my sb pro, I think Jill has an effects bug with the running sb16. I only remembered that after I heard it. But then, sbpro doesn’t have mpu 401. I think.

Since I’ve heard about AMD’s Dragon Platform I’ve wanted to play around with one. I tried 2 different HD 4850s but both were broken. Finally got a Saphire in good condition and the fit is great. The case is age appropriate as well, nothing fancy. I’ve got so many XP games waiting for me!

I went back to a recycling center. I visited a couple of years ago. The owner Jaider is very nice and so involved in community projects. I brought home an interesting PC case, some fans and a brand new ide hard

A buddy gave me this beautiful small box version of Age of Empires III and there is something of note. Amazingly they include the Games for Windows CD and a separate 3 CD stand alone version, so using that, it works perfectly. Besides that, the game is gorgeous and works great on the phenom II.

Yes I love this era of gaming, no colors were not their main selling point according to Hitman Blood Money. On another note I found the LCD poster, not helping much though, I think it's broken.

I've played this intro sequence in Fable so many times. I remember really enjoying the mechanics of this game back in the day. But I haven't done a recent run of it yet.

I feel like any video card I touch from 10 years or more back is going to go bad at any point. I haven't had much luck lately. This is working but I'm seeing some not so pleasant artifacts. I'll do the basic clean up and re-paste but tbh I'm not going to keep my hopes up.

Forsaken 64 is pretty cool tbh. It doesn't need the expansion pak and runs smoothly, it's challenging and fun. Music is a bit repetitive, that's the worst thing I can say about it.

Here you go @jikissgamer.bsky.social as long as you can keep the onion in its original shape, it doesn't make you tear up. Then destroy in the pan of course, just don't get too close at that point and you're home free
