Don't get me wrong. I don't like the way we're headed but DJT is the result of populist control over the parties. Prior to 17A the Senate was elected by each state legislature. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sevente... I think that's also a major issue and would, personally, like to repeal 17A...
