Stop the silly conspiratorial posts. Russians (and Ukrainians) are amongst the finest seafarers in the world. Solong is nearly 20 years old. Normal to operate a ship of that age. Anything could have happened. Steering failure, mechanical issues. Not the first time a ship at anchor has been rammed.

I don’t think empathy was in the operating manual when so called western civilisation colonised and killed untold millions in Asia, Africa and South America in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. When Gandhi was asked what he thought about western civilisation, he said it would be a good idea.

Imagine USA and Russia as allies, with 90% of the world’s nuclear warheads between them, the chances of an all out global nuclear war / annihilation will be so low. I actually like the sound of it.
