Flashplayer had issues, but at least it was super compatible. Any device with a CPU could run it, even if very slowly. With Ruffle and AIR (mobile) using the GPU for vector graphics, there are minimum hardware requirements and a whole new way for things to not work.

But fanart and livestreams coming in after the demo was released make me feel much better.

The uncertainty about Matt's Hidden Cats launch is stressful! It's a new genre and a new engine for me. With Epic Battle Fantasy 5 there was zero doubt it would be a success, because it was a sequel to a successful game and it was using the same engine.

I've uploaded a .apk file if you want to try running the Matt's Hidden Cats demo on your Android. This is the PC version - it's not optimised for mobile. But it seems to work great on modern flagship devices. Maybe not so much on older ones.

According to Gemini this is normal. A test device won't be given a lot of ads for... some reason??

I ask Gemini because the documentation and help available for Android stuff is abysmal.

Correction: It loaded one test ad, and now it doesn't work again.

Spent half a day trying to get ads working again in my Android app. Nothing helped.

Tested on a different device. Works just fine.

I've been accidentally getting stickers from artists on Patreon (I don't check what the rewards are), but I've enjoyed getting random mail so now I'm going out of my way to order more stickers.

I will buy this game because Steam banned it and that sucks for them. Will tell ya if it's good.
Yesterday, the Epic Games Store decided at the last minute not to distribute the game, after having previously approved a release build. HORSES is otherwise now available on GOG, Itch, and Humble for $4.99. www.horses.wtf

My translation workflow is that I copy and paste my code onto Google Docs and let people edit the strings.

I hear this is not normal, but it's worked so far!

I've committed to adding Italian to the game. Got a couple of translators lined up, but if anyone else wants to contribute in some way, get down to the EBF Discord and check out the new Italian channel.

I'm gonna have to disable the name-entry feature for Chinese, Japanese and Korean languages lol. Supporting all the characters would add like 200mb to the RAM usage for a very small feature. ):

Wanted to add Thai language support to the game, but it turns out the language is pretty complicated to code, and Ruffle doesn't have the framework needed for it yet. Sorry ):
