Democrats who keep talking about "working across the aisle" seem to have forgotten that the republican party abandoned that idea back in 2007 with the rise of the tea party. They have played obstructionist politics ever since.

I'm still a die hard RSS consumer (no thank to you Google Reader), and thankfully there are still a good number of blogs and news sites out there publishing their feeds. It's everything you want social media to be - completely algorithm and ad free and the exact opposite of today's walled gardens.
