Back in May I was alerted that there was a Bald Eagle's nest in San Simeon that also had a Red-tailed Hawklet in it. The baby Hawk was supposed to be lunch but ended up being part of the family for a while(spoiler, the Hawk survived!). Once in a lifetime for me! #GlenDunlapTop10of2024 #Photography

It's no secret I adore old #cookery #books. This example, 'The Household Searchlight Recipe Book' (with thanks to Laurel B.!), once belonged to a former in-law. Editions of the book were apparently published between 1931 and 1954, with its only competitor being 'The Joy of Cooking'. #foodhistory
