It's a testament to the incredible power of life and the intricate processes that shape us all. Imagine a tiny, hollow ball, like a soap bubble, filled with a single layer of cells. This is called a blastosphere, the earliest stage of an embryo. It's like a blank canvas, ready for the incredible development process.   Stage 1: Invagination: Now, picture a finger pushing into that bubble. The cells on one side start to fold inward, creating a dent. This is called invagination. It's as if the blastosphere is beginning to form a pouch. Stage 2: Blastopore and Archenteron: As the invagination deepens, it creates an opening called the blastopore. This is a significant moment, as it will eventually become the anus in many animals, including humans. The pouch, now called the archenteron, is starting to take shape. It will ultimately become the digestive tract. Stage 3: Mouth Formation and Elongation: Finally, another opening forms on the opposite side of the blastopore. This will become the mouth. The archenteron continues to grow and elongate, creating a more defined structure. Fun Fact: Humans are deuterostomes, meaning our development follows this pattern where the anus forms first. It's a fascinating reminder of our shared evolutionary history with other animals.

I'm uncomfortable with the inevitable "his work was always crap" because it seems to say "you can tell who the predators are by how well they write" and ... no no you absolutely cannot, that's the whole point.
