An Open Letter to Men in Kink Today, I had to remove every shred of reference to kink from my dating profiles. I left Feeld entirely. I had to hide a big part of myself from the world because I just couldn't take the barrage of bullshit from the men I matched with anymore. I'm solo poly, dominant, and enthusiastically slutty. I truly love and enjoy sex, and that goes double for kinky sex. Sexual dominance is one of the few things I've found in this life that allows me to be completely myself. When I engage in it with a sub who sees me as a whole person, it's a truly safe space. I take the ethics of dominance very seriously, and I do everything I possibly can to make my subs feel safe and appreciated. Consent, open communication, and all the other rules of kink aren't just words to me. But even as I try to create and occupy a positive space in the kink community, I'm met with constant demands from total strangers. Someone on this subreddit once commented that submission is a gift, not a trophy. It bears being said that dominance is a gift, not a given. The entitlement to my body and skills that men on the internet exhibit has completely worn me out. I have an abundance of both sexual and dominant energy that I honestly have no idea what to do with moving forward, but I just can't be dehumanized any longer. What fucking kills me the most What fucking kills me the most is that men bitch and moan about how hard it is to find dominant women, kinky women, or even just women who aren't sexually repressed. The problem is that when these same men meet a woman who's one, two, or, god forbid, all three of those things, they completely short-circuit and treat us like shit. In the space of a second, my thoughts and feelings are jettisoned from the conversation, and I'm seen as a vehicle for their own pleasure, a communal fucktoy who is just dying to service anyone who's interested. That's not the case, guys. Just because I enjoy dominance doesn't mean I want to dominate you. The fact that I enjoy sex does not mean I want to have it with you. Slutty, kinky women are still human beings, not cum-guzzling automatons. You know what I enjoy? Chains, threesomes, non-monogamy, and impact play. You know how many men can handle that statement when they read it? A fraction of a percent. I've spoken to hundreds, maybe thousands of men on dating apps and on local dating/hookup subreddits, and only a handful haven't immediately forgotten my humanity. I don't really know what I want to accomplish here except I felt like it needed to be said, plainly and in the presence of people who might get it. I could really use some support from the wider community. I don't want to give up kink or sex altogether, but I don't want to date in a traditional sense, and solely seeing women isn't really an option either. Any advice, guidance, or even just commiseration would be helpful. I hate that this has to be said, but any chat invitations from men will be met with an immediate hit of the "ignore" button.
