Found this Facebook post from eight years ago. Check out the prices of vinyl back then in Sainsburys! Lucky to pay less than double these prices now. #vinyl

Happy 45 years to Star Trek the Motion Picture. Even as a 9 yo I was slightly intrigued by Kirk’s new hair do/toupeé.

What’s a comic series or storyline you love so much you feel like you keep buying it over and over again in multiple formats? (Bit of a fan of Hellboy in Hell. Not shown - the OG comics, second trade, omnibus edition and smaller format Artisan Edition from IDW).

Me in a spacesuit for Christmas when I was four. The smell of a certain rubbery plastic always takes me back to wearing this outfit. I was always disappointed that the helmet wasn’t more like a fish bowl. I wonder who made this suit (circa 1973)?

50p bargain from the charity shop. I was no fan of the tv programme as a kid, but I couldn’t pass up a vintage Puffin book, with a lovely cover by Cecil Leslie.

Today’s listening pleasure is The The’s Soul Mining. All killer, no filler and with cracking artwork from Matt Johnson’s brother Andy Dog.

I'm not saying we already knew there were gladiators at Hadrian's Wall, but we already knew there were gladiators at Hadrian's Wall. (I even visited Corbridge on my first book Julius Zebra book tour!) www.livescience.com/archaeology/...

I have a new Lovely Pirates mini strip in this week’s Phoenix Comic. A special spotlight on Fluffy the shark for the next few weeks. This week, he finds a wig!

A bit of Sun Ra keeping me company while I draw today. If anything can be classified as “Out There” it’s this collection. The madder it gets, the more I love it.

Hello new followers (and old!). In case you were wondering, my latest book, Leif The Unlucky Viking, out from Walker Books, probably contains my bestest drawings ever and is probably the funniest too. (Well, I liked it.)

Axylotl strip 2/3
November 14, 2024 at 12:32 PM
During my archaelogical dig into my hard-drive, I found some strips about an axylotl. I think I did them for my old chum Jim Medway and one of his lovely projects. Anyway, I seem to remember the pink weirdos just sit there and do nothing and I wondered what went through their little brains. 1/3

That dream came true, by the way. Although it was a Christmas present from my girlfriend, which I then upgraded to a bigger one a few months later, thanks to someone who lives next to my local bus stop chucking one out.

I think I enjoyed the flatplan more. The story was all over the place, iirc.
