I don’t remember this being part of the Little Red Riding Hood lore.

Nickelodeon is also hosting some kind of speed networking event throughout the weekend.

I just wanna meet ALL THE PEOPLE that weekend so that's my goal for LBX. I hope I get to see some of y'all there!

This has pretty much been my life the last two days and I’m getting close to having a new big, silly bag.

Sell your souls to train the machines that we want to replace too for $65/hr!

(Yeah I am that person that immediately looks up film opinions on Reddit once I finish a movie) I think this comment is helping me understand what it was trying to say a little better than my initial interpretation.

Finished another sweater, this one for summery beachy weather, though it's too warm for especially hot days. Got a chance to wear it this evening at Venice Beach today though!

The quakers figured it out.

I really liked my look this year so here’s a close up; also had my first Ren Faire turkey leg in ages; also, look at my cute friends (and husband, who is also my friend and also cute).
May 6, 2025 at 6:13 AM
This is my announcement that I, too, am at the Ren Faire.

Boulder Media, there has got to be a better way to phrase this when it’s in conjunction with a rejection email.

Every time I see this ad I’m unsettled and I finally figured out why.

Anyway THIS JUST LOOKS BAD AND YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD FOR POSTING IT, DEBORAH

I’m adding a content label so you don’t have to subject yourself to it.

And I have no idea what the name of the person who posted it actually is, please don’t go after your local Deb.

I just need to scream.
April 3, 2025 at 6:19 AM
Well I tried. The person who posted it says they are an artist who works for the shop and use AI as a “tool.” They do not believe it contradicts with the values of a creative reuse space.

I am so sad and so tired.

WIP. Got some sad news yesterday so I took some time for myself and just went wild on this. I may need to pick up more yarn.

Pattern: Frederic Sweater from Kolibiri by Johanna, from her recently released IBIZA book
Yarn: Cashsilk Light from Laines du Nord in Acid Green

I finally took some time to block and tidy up my latest sweater! Pretty pleased with it, and also learned a lot to take into the next thing.

The white yarn is slated for a camisole (Camisole No. 5 by My Favorite Things Knitware, probably) and the red will be for the Take a Bow top by Erica Bernstein, to be cast on closer to Christmas.

As a kid I used to get so excited buying new art supplies. Then I fell off traditional art and buying supplies felt wasteful and pointless and I felt guilty when I did nothing with any of them. Buying yarn takes me back to being a bright eyed kid again. So much potential in these fibers!

Here’s the recipe! Alt text has the written text. I tried my best to proofread and convert measurements, but if anything looks off or I missed something just let me know.

Presenting the Tres Leche Tiramisu, aka the Latte Tiramisu!

I’ll post the recipe tomorrow and it’s like 90% there - the mascarpone mix split a bit and I don’t know if that’s a temperature thing or if I should have hit it with an immersion blender or something. Still tasty as is tho!

Tell me happy stories about your experiences applying to places with no pet policies and getting approved anyway, I could use the positivity.
