Love this idea. Problem I've seen with city tree planting is follow-up. Three trees were planted near my house a few years back, but the deer here (Charleswood) are plenty and no one returned to water them. I tried my best to water and protect (with chicken wire) the nearest one, but all three died.

Oh... Very cool! At one point in my late twenties I was logging and mapping all the small urban forests in Winnipeg, but the website I was using eventually went offline.

Currently my only experiments with the Winnipeg tree data set involved searching and sorting for high diameter trees: winnipeg-trees.netlify.app

But I might try mapping similar to my attached 2018 experiments with single-detached home values and density.

Today and yesterday on the bus I read through these two papers, the first drifts a bit too far into "it's not real" territory, but both cite many other potential bus-reads.
