Crisco crusts are great— did that when I was vegan and it worked! My Great Aunt Vi was also a serious pie baker and a fan of Crisco crusts. Mom does 50/50 butter & Crisco. I usually do 100% butter…unless it’s an apple pie, in which case it’s 70% butter, 30% aged cheddar.

Very rarely. The time cost makes it difficult to do commissions at an affordable price. Plus I don’t often design my own patterns, and most pattern designers don’t allow sales. I do, however, barter from time to time with other craftspeople or artists!
