oh... well I haven't looked at Claude code in a few months and it wasnt a clean monthly bill like that. I went through like 100 dollars in a week lol. I'll look into it.

windsurf is a code editor with AI coding support built in and you can switch models whenever and I really find it effective

The big downside for me was the cost. Way more expensive for me than using Windsurf. I found it did a good job for me with wide ranging code reviews and bug fixing.

Generally speaking I'd always vote for 1 for a few reasons. It's just simpler, less mental overhead, less loading times (between steps), more chance of useful "autofill" by my browser. That said I could see 2 being useful if you were saving the state between stages and the user could return to
