Rogue builders are ruining lives and the system still isn’t stopping them.

I raised this in Parliament because too many families in Warrington South are left with chaos they didn’t cause even when they do everything right.

We need clearer rules and real enforcement.

Over 1 in 4 children are bullied every year.

This impacts mental health, education & future well-being.

Proud to join leaders & schools yesterday to share the impact of #AntiBullyingWeek & #OddSocksDay + key policy steps to drive change.

👉 Let’s make a difference. #UnitedAgainstBullying

65% of Colne Valley voters want to see change in how we tax gambling - I completely agree. That is why I wrote to the Chancellor on this issue.

Gambling costs UK society £1.27 billion a year.

I will continue to raise this topic with the Chancellor.

Great to join the Marsden Defib team at Marsden Mechanics today for the handover of a new defibrillator.

Fantastic to hear from Steve, Josh & the team about their mission to make Marsden heart safe, with a defib within 600m of every resident.

Huge thanks to everyone involved.

One reason why the government is in a mess is that “is that true tho?” doesn’t get anywhere near enough weight against “what do the public think?”
Home Sec describes a widely held public perception (UK is the destination of choice for asylum seekers in Europe) + endorses it as true. Home Office data shows it is not true. Whatever merits of her policy change, should not make false factual claims

I’m incredibly proud that the Government has today announced a vital amendment to the Victims and Courts Bill — protecting mothers and children from the most cruel and undeserving abusers.

Proud to stand behind this reform.

Air pollution has dropped significantly in #Paris in the last 15 years as a result of a deliberate strategy. Mayor @annehidalgo.bsky.social’s leadership has traded car space for green space, safe bike space, kid space.. and traded pollution for people.

Good trade.
