It is increasingly hard to justify the decades of opposition to projects like this. We need to find 5bn litres of water *a day* by 2050. Even if we got leakage to zero there'd still be a huge shortfall. Reservoirs are pretty (!), protect people's supplies and growth. @samdumitriu.bsky.social
