sorry guys- I'm deleting this account - not only do I have too many followers in 48 hrs to block them- I've also had arseholes ask "why dont you want followers?" Never had this problem on the bad place or any other socials- it's just not a safe space. I'll follow a select few with a new account

Still bracing myself for Patronising Purple day.

sitting texting a pal last night, banshee wails from outside, "oopsy, forgot to feed the foxes" but no- it was WWF smackdown between a fox & next door's cat. The ragin' fox then spent ages sat glaring at me from "yer tea's oot corner" as if the late dinner was the cause of the conflict.

A drumlin in a lakeland/marshy landscape, pearshaped boundary, mix of Early Medieval cross shafts and Early Modern momento mori- Old Galloon graveyard in Fermanagh is reminding me of somewhere else beginning with "G" 😉

@justrena.bsky.social excellent talk- need to do a longer version for Pictish Arts Society? I like the idea of comparing Pict mirror carvings with Iron Age mirror art to aid dating- there's something in that!

The library is a rich resource for anyone researching British and Irish #localhistory. But we also have local history holdings in many other collections, including Germany, Latin America, Italy and US States to name a few. Browse the library pages to find out more www.history.ac.uk/library-digi...

Thoroughly recommend #Nye streaming for free on YouTube just now. Magnificent piece of theatre and so relevant- a reminder some of us just want everyone to be looked after. Why has that always been such a bad thing?

The Lorna formerly known as a Librarian is pure loving the Library Scene in #Nye

includes code for £ off the full streaming service- NT streams got me through lockdown. It's not all Shakespeare (although the midsummer nights dream production was fab)

having started with a positive post- main interests are early medieval history, particularly carved stones, Kingdom of Strathclyde, and textiles. But with forays into many related side-quests! No interest in Post 19th c history or US history at all, finding this place frustrating!
