Lucas Prokosch and I rescued a cat that night after the poor thing rode out the EF-2 tornado in a cinder block farm outbuilding that was completely flattened. Home owners were happy to see their farm cat survived.

3 years ago tonight, I chased the historic December 2021 Iowa Derecho. I saw 3 tornadoes that night all traveling at an absurd 80-90 mph forward speed. Each was a long track EF-2 and one of the tornadoes I saw ran over the Twister Hill movie site from the movie Twister.
