I find knit socks to be more noticeable than mass manufactured socks, in terms of feeling them while you're wearing them. That's not a bad thing for me, but if you're already sensitive I don't think I'd recommend it.

Better to spend your time on something you're more sure you'll love, imo

Highly recommend knitting!
Something like a sampler scarf could be a good first project; it'll walk you through a few stitches and you won't get bored of doing the same thing for 3 ft.

Beginner's Stitch Sampler Scarf pattern by Kristina Tucker
This is a great scarf to learn and practice knits and purls. The combination of stitches makes a very fun scarf!

She's too convenient for trekking around the city to spin at parks, so i think I have to keep her 😆

Maybe if you pay attention when the Folds ship out, there might be an uptick in other eew resales 🤔

I've also seen a total of 1 (rough shape antique) come up for sale in my area over the course of a few months, so resale isn't very likely.

The Kromski Fantasia in black is my dream aesthetically.

I'm waiting on my tax return to set a budget, though. Thats when I can really see what options I'm working with.

The fold kickstarter was what sent me down this train of thought 😅 it seems wrong to just upgrade for size when I could go for a fully different experience

On the other hand, it can also back fire and fill feeds with stuff they don't care about.

Like how a baseball player with the last name Crochet clogged up all my fiber art feeds for weeks.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who remembers this graph from HS bio classes. Humans will (or, quite likely, already have) surpass the carrying capacity of our environment. We should expect population decline, and prepare for it.
Unfortunately we are stuck in the capitalist game instead.
