Purely speculation but if anything I wouldn’t be surprised if primitive gen-Ai was played with during those early years and then steered clear from. It’s clear from below that the creator doesn’t want it in their work. The textures could have even come from UE5’s stock technology for all we know.

I am extremely unhappy at that journalist for what they posted because it reads like disingenuous bait leading people to believe that E33 is pro-generative AI and that the game’s praise is undeserved. All the art used on the game is now being called “AI slop” and people are refunding their games
