Back in March of 2003, I decided I wanted to read the entire Discworld series by Sir Terry Pratchett. Starting then, I read from book 1 to 41 in chronological order and just finished the last one. After 2.5 years of reading at least a chapter every night, tonight is going to be a sad night.

Just finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Beautiful game that's challenging, fun, and emotional. I highly recommend it.

One of my pet peeves: The left image (Staff with 2 snakes and wings) is the Caduceus. It is the symbol of Hermes, the god of Messengers and Commerce. The one on the right is the Rod of Asclepius, the symbol of the greek god of healing. I assume medical places using the wrong are just fleshmongers.

Told my flight school that I want to finish my training. (After taking the winter off because I bought a house and needed the money.) Sitting at 50+ hours and only need my final XC solo. (I also need to work on my C170 landings. Not as easy as the piper.) Still, I'm committed to finishing! #flying

I did a bunch of searching to find out how quickly and the highest quality swords and shields I could buy as research for my book. Now I'm most of my ads are for all kinds of weapons. Honestly, I don't mind. #authors

Usually, I spend most of August in the Arctic running a camp for NASA (et al.) scientists. However, that won't be happening this year due to the U.S. moving to a post-science society (which somehow means going back to the 1800s). But that does mean I'll be able to go to @seattlein2025.org !

I really want to go to the Firefly Panel at ECCC, but I know it would require waking up first thing just to sit in line all morning. As much as I want to, I don't think I have it in me to do that. And it would suck if I didn't get up early enough and missed it. I wish I could just pay for a seat.

Just failed the new color vision test for my FAA class 3 medical. It means I still can't fly at night. I can see the blue taxi, red warning, and white runway lights. Why is my inability to see shades of red mean I can't fly at night? So frustrating. #flying

Just got a collection notice from an agency telling me my Xfinity Mobile account defaulted. The account I closed in person. In the shop. The one that showed "You are not an xfinity mobile customer" on their website when I went to check later. I hate these scummy businesses.

I know using AI Art is frowned upon, but I threw an AI image on my Royal Road story (that I don't expect anyone to read). Is this acceptable, or is the general preference for no image over an AI image until I'm ready to commission one? @aesonique.bsky.social since you commented on this.

Somehow, in my household, this turned into us saying "Cheep Cheep, Motherfucker!" to each other. This is probably actually what the Nac Mac Feegle said, but Sir Terry Pratchett had to clean it up for the kids. :) #discworld
