I haven't shot a lot of my #PinholeProject yet, but I've got a week in France visiting family, so it's coming with me! I have two bodies though and the choice of lens 2 was tough. I'm a hard 15/35/75/135, but ended up going with Leica's best portrait lens. I'm in Bressonland! I should shoot a 50!

I was at a car dealership today.I got fascinated by the ice growth on the hoods of these Jimnys; so you get digital instead of film photography this week! I wanna say it's caused by water proof paint coating? Total guess though.

It's been a busy week! (weirdly, unrelatedly to any religious traditions that may have coincidentally been taking place). So, please enjoy another random scan from rolls-of-film-I've-never-seen-before.

Another old picture repost. This one is for /r/Leica's @milleniador.bsky.social, who wanted to know if I was in a riot. Not today, at least!

Prior! If there was a riot going on I'd have taken pictures!

Woof. The 200CN roll is very much a "holiday snapshots" quality roll of film. But I can see why I took them. Things-appearing-faintly-through-mist is a photographic obsession of mine, and this crooked, badly framed shot does fit that bill!

Here's a shot from the 200CN. I only got one strip scanned in the end - took me a little while to set up VueScan for color.

In the meantime, please enjoy this cute pupper.

This was always my favorite shot from the OG Pinhole roll - mostly because of someone else's better art - but I like the way the lighting came out on this one with the carving staring towards the sun, and the clouds are quite pretty. It was the best exposed shot in the series.

Digging through about 50 cans of film that were developed but never scanned. I have no idea where this is or when I took it.

While I shoot the #PinStreetProject, here's a photo from the 2016 prototype with no artistic merit. But, on a technical basis - I successfully got a decent snapshot of people, in public, with a pinhole on 35mm. I'm still kinda proud of the achievement if not the photo itself.

Ok, Rolling @ilfordphoto.com HP5+ again because I didn't have any D3200 on hand. Fresh one loaded, spare one on hand and the filter is clean! Lets go, #PinStreetProject!
December 14, 2024 at 1:01 PM
Hmm. Downside of the Frankenfinder is the annoying barrel distortion. It's not unusable and it's the best 16mm finder, but since I have the 28mm frame on the M4-P I think that's the way to go.
December 14, 2024 at 12:50 PM
Trying to decide how to go with the first pass of the #PinStreetProject. The M4-P would be super compact, but if I went with the MD-2 and Frankenfinder I'd have a clearer finder and the bubble level. Choices, choices.

For those who missed the original experiment on 2016 Twitter, this is a Leica M (for proper hipster street photography), with a rare Japanese M-mount pinhole and @ilfordphoto.com HP5+ at 3200. Think would use Delta at 6400, redoing. Shutter was 1/15, 𝑓110. That's from memory!

Today has been instructive.

1. I have way more negs than I realised.
2. My pinhole work was terrible, but has promise.
3. I have 50 odd undeveloped rolls. What am I, discount Vivian Maier!?
December 14, 2024 at 12:06 AM
Just an old photo so there's something up here. I need to dig out my pinhole street negs. Revisiting that is the next project!
December 12, 2024 at 9:07 PM
Fine! I'll go take some bloody pictures!
