🇨🇦 It’s truly hard to believe that the wealthiest country that has EVER existed is also the only western democracy without universal healthcare for citizens. The the lack of empathy is simply hard to wrap your head around. I don’t think most Americans understand JUST how horrific it looks.

…more expensive than other western democracies. E.g. The US spends about twice as much per person on healthcare as Canada does. So, of course, health insurance is going to be far more expensive too. This is the big plan that Trump‘s been talking about since 2016? Just give people $2,000?!
