I'm not surprised by the lackluster release. I stopped playing the game right before it got popular. Even back then the game was full of players who did the wiggle.

Support is one of the more difficult roles to play. Especially in a shooter with branching pathways where you need to keep track of your teammates while staying alive yourself. Most people would fail at it, me included.

I'd be lying if I said this was on my bingo card back when I made a dozen stylesheets for as many versions of Internet Explorer. Although it might not do much for me this late in life, it's nice to see things moving forward.

It's all a matter of need. A studio can have positive metrics but negative cash flow. There could be other needs or reasons in play as well.

Fixed camera views, and, by extension, janky controls, are an acquired taste. After decades of gaming I have yet to acquire said taste, but this game might be the one that wins me over enough to endure it. Yes, it's that good!
