I wasn't able to write anything in October almost at all, so this feels like coming home 😭

I think I'm way more of a public mess and overthinker now, but also, it's been a really interesting ride to learn new things and how to have an account and all that stuff. It's been fun to watch you grow too!! You're everywhere now!!

It is super interesting how my readers on wp and readers on ao3 are totally different groups. Not in any neg or pos way!! Just, exactly like you said, I'm actually surprised that there's very little overlap. I think it has to do with site preference, but it's totally interesting

So, I don't know. I find it interesting fs. I get in my head a lot more now that I'm on AO3 than I did when I was on WP. Every now and again I think about returning to that private corner of the internet, but there's also something beautiful to evolving, and I think it would be a shame to stop now

I also think I approached writing really diff than I do now. WP was not communal. I wrote and I posted. I didn't have X or discord, so it was almost like private journalizing. Now, it feels more public, and I realize that's made me take on a more storytelling and plot lens than a "journaling" one

Granted, I was on Wattpad for five years before moving to AO3, so I had so much more time to naturally develop into a distinct style. AO3, surprisingly, has acted as a reset of sorts, so I don't think I'll have a central style for a while, because I'm only a year into it

Chapter one will start with a whopping 16.5k though if I make it 😭
