I wasn’t less loved by my parents because they let me walk to school. I didn’t grow up stunted because my family didn’t own a car. My personal worth is not tied to how often I got dropped off at the door of a place. Is that weird? Apparently! Because any suggestion otherwise is a grave insult.

As I and others have written, shackled migrants on ICE flights regularly soil themselves because ICE agents and guards won’t let them stand up to use the lavatory. It does not stop the flights, it’s just another part of the misery ICE is going for.

Something it took me until my 30’s to understand is that any rule that is only selectively enforced is not a rule, it’s a weapon
