✘ Oh. And lots of romance scene clichés. A couple were handled differently than expected (such as the accidental kiss), but I did catch myself sighing a bit too often. I blame Second Lead Syndrome.

➜ I have not read the manga yet but my husband did. He says they show more of the sports being played in the anime.
❤ The 3rd female in the cast is NOT interested in the ML. Even better, she's BFF material to FL2 AND I sense a ship with the MLs nerd friend...

But I found the spunky FL surprisingly annoying (I usually like that) & it became painfully obvious that the 2nd ML was end game... AFTER fully establishing a confessed romance between her and the 1st ML. I dislike doomed star-crossed lovers. It's hard dismantling an already built ship. 😓

But I hated all the characters. Especially the ML & FL who were extremes of opposing personalities: she ❤️ & ☮️, he 💀 & 🩸. There was too much violence, blood & death. Just because the mangaka could. Plus it had mediocre animation so it wasn't even visually fun to watch.

❤ Science is cool. Senku makes science look EXTRA cool.
❤ Girl power. Seriously. So many awesome females.

✘ I don't think science is as EASY as Senku makes it look.
✘ Concerned the finale may be trying to be too grand.
