Nigeria and Venezuela both produce more oil than they need.

The USA is running out of oil.

Donald Trump wants to invade Nigeria and Venezuela.

It's not a complex problem, can you solve it?

Just seen a clip of
@BorisJohnson
at the covid enquiry. He didn't even have the respect to shave, wear a suit that fits or comb his hair. Nothing new I know but if we talk about standards in public life ....

Please read my column today in conjunction with Aditya's. The government pretends to be delivering housing to those who need it, but is in fact just appeasing the big corporations. Then it blames nature protections, and rips those down at their behest as well.

Israel's genocidal war on Gaza - two years of hell on earth for Palestinians - could have ended at any time with pressure from the US president. There is no safe and peaceful future without justice, without accountability, without freedom for Palestinians

Don't forget that 41 Tory MPs in the last government took Russian donations. That might account for media reticence to report on the Nathan Gill case.

No sudden rupture is now required for the far right to take power in this country. For what we're seeing is a steady normalisation of extremists by the Conservative and Labour Parties, BBC, Telegraph, Mail and others. A shift once considered unthinkable beings to look acceptable, even inevitable.🧵

We need constantly to remind ourselves that there's nothing normal or inevitable about it. It would be a catastrophe from which we would not recover for many years, in which terrible things are done, to minorities, to vulnerable people, to the rest of the living planet. We cannot let it happen.

I of course welcome the recognition of the state of Palestine.

And there won't be a Palestinian state left if government's continue enabling Israel's unfolding genocide.

Labour can't credibly support Palestinian statehood whilst also continuing to arm Israel.

So Palestine is recognised as a State -long overdue- by four more countries today. It feels like a bureaucratic fudge as Gaza city get blown apart and the Occupied West Bank has settlers killing Palestinians regularly.

26 Police Officers were injured at today's riots but only 9 people were arrested.

Compare that with the peaceful Palestine Action protest where 0 Police Officers were injured but nearly 900 people were arrested.

The Government has got Law Enforcement ridiculously wrong.

Not said anything about "Your Party." So here is my 2p. It is laudable. I'm pleased they are open to collaborating with the Greens and visa versa. I like the optimism it has bought about but the 500,000 who have joined were probably always going to. that effect.

Radical? Lowering bills, reducing rents, defending our NHS, and refusing to arm genocide.

The real radicals are in government - and the commentariat that “warns” you when we all dare to say: it doesn’t have to be like this.
