I like to ride bikes.
I think I have the same trailer! Such a great value and opens so many new opportunities for hauling with a non-cargo bike.

Almost all of the crap in bike lanes is stuff that the cars push into everyone else’s space. Tires are designed to push things to the side, and the vortex of wind they create tends to leave debris to the side of their path. Do this 100s of times and the car lane is clear at everyone else’s expense.

On a $400,000 house with $20k down, you’d be paying PMI for TWENTY-THREE YEARS on a loan at 6%

You’d pay over $820,000 in interest over the life of the loan.

Post-Thanksgiving. The wife always wants to put them up sooner, I always “procrastinate.”

My friend’s kid was practicing at LouCity training grounds and they had to cancel practice early due to ash falling on the fields. All the way at River/Zorn.

I’ve been searching for replacements as my 10yo travel mugs that I love are starting to leak a little, and don’t make them anymore. I have an ello from Target that’s ok, and an owala that I like more. The ello tends to hold a tad of the dishwasher flavor in the lid so I have to remember to rinse.

I have a combo of highly taut bungee cords, as well as some wooden blocks that sit inside the cutout areas of the rack for added stability. I put several knots in the cords to ensure they are as taut as possible, and replace them every couple years. Can send more details if you’d like.

I was chatting with the cashier for a minute about my bike, since she saw my helmet and got really confused about how I was getting ~120 pounds of bags home. I told her “it’s a helluva lot cheaper than a truck payment!”

I recently got a sampler pack of loose leaf teas from good.store to give tea a shot. The green and earl gray were good, not a fan of hot black teas or peppermint. Have a decaf sampler coming soon and can report back. I get my coffee beans from them- I like the charity aspect.

I’ve wanted a family bakfiets (and have advocated to others for them) for this exact reason. While trailers or long tail benches are nice, having the kid where you can see them and they can see where they’re going is so underrated.

Of course! If my unemployment isn’t reported, I definitely still get a paycheck!

And I’ll tell you, it kinda sucks being part of the statistic! Last time I got laid off was summer of 08 so apparently I just like being unemployed through our financial crises.

People talk about bike/ped facilities that allegedly slow down first responders, but there’s no getting a fire truck through all those stopped cars. People/bikes can just move aside.
